Violet Deilke (founder), who started her own salon nearly 40 years ago, has been dedicated to specializing in hair replacement since 1990. That year, she started attending annual education programs to keep up-to-date with the latest techniques in hair replacement. Her journey has taken her through her mother’s cancer treatment in 1996 and her own treatment for breast cancer eight years later. Recently, the ownership of the Centre for Hair & Wellness has been assumed by Casey Anderson, the owner of Urban Edge Salon. Despite the change in ownership, Violet remains part of the staff to ensure a seamless transition. 

Centre for Hair & Wellness has been helping men and women of all ages throughout the Tri-state area cope with the challenges of hair loss. The salon specializes in working with people facing hair loss from all kinds of causes ⁠— cancer therapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, and other causes related to illness, autoimmune disorders, and the thinning that often comes with aging. 

In January 2010, Violet was honored with the National Service Award of Look Good Feel Better for being a volunteer for over 25 years. Look Good, Feel Good is a program promoting self-care and self-esteem among patients facing hair loss and other side effects of cancer treatment.
